TL;DR: We don’t sell your data. You own your art. We only collect what we need to keep your website online and process your subscription.

Effective Date: January 10, 2026; Last Updated: January 10, 2026

At Artnbuff Studio, we believe your art belongs to you, and so does your data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our website builder and hosting services.

1. The Information We Collect

To provide a professional hosting experience, we collect the following:

  • Account Information: Your name, email address, and password when you register for a trial or plan.
  • Billing Information: When you upgrade to a paid plan or purchase an Expert Setup, payment is processed securely through our third-party processors (Stripe/PayPal). Artnbuff Studio does not store your credit card numbers on our servers.
  • Website Content: We host the images, bios, and text you upload to your portfolio. While we store this on our servers to display your website, you retain 100% ownership of all intellectual property.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your data strictly to:

  • Provision and maintain your WordPress website.
  • Process your subscription payments.
  • Send you essential account updates (billing receipts, technical alerts).
  • Provide “Expert Setup” services if you have purchased a DFY (Done-For-You) package.

3. Data Portability & The “No Lock-In” Promise

Unlike proprietary builders (Wix/Squarespace), Artnbuff is built on WordPress. This means your data is portable. You have the right to export your entire website database and media library at any time. We do not “lock” your content to our platform.

4. Third-Party Services

We work with trusted partners to keep your site running:

  • Hosting Infrastructure: To ensure your site is fast and online 24/7.
  • Payment Processors: To handle secure transactions.
  • Ultimate Multisite: The platform that manages your site’s subscription and dashboard.

5. Your Responsibility as an Artist (Website Owner)

When you create a website on Artnbuff Studio, you are the “Admin” of your own site. This means you are responsible for the privacy of the visitors who go to your specific URL (e.g., yourname.artnbuff.org).

  • We recommend adding your own basic Privacy Policy if you collect contact form entries or use Google Analytics on your portfolio.
  • When you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

6. Cookies

We use “cookies” to keep you logged into your dashboard and to remember your preferences. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some features of the Studio dashboard may stop functioning.

  • If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
  • If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
  • When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
  • If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

7. Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

8. Changes to This Policy

As we grow, we may update this policy. If we make significant changes, we will notify you via the email address associated with your account.

9. Contact Us
